“If you hit and cover, 16 and 36 force him to hit you on the ace - not great for him. Plus 15 forces him to leave the anchor (if he wants to), then 14 and 34 will dump the spare from the 7 behind on the 3 point. These rolls seem to give you enough time then to extricate your checker from the 24 if you want to hit and cover. Even 33 which is a good roll for him gives you an immediate six out. It’s always stupid to voluntarily prime yourself though.”
