What’s the Correct Move?
Here is what the author (John Georgiou) says about the position:
“From My StreamChamps match with Nick Blasier
I really thought hard about this recube, I thought that the score implications meant it would be a take and I was worried about getting an 8 cube back if things went awry
16/36 rolls leave a shot
What would your cube action be ?”

Finn Dixon:
“He needs 11% to take this. If 16 rolls leave a shot and he only hits 1/3 of the time so let’s say that 6 / 36 times where he is then 50% win chance. So that’s 3/36. I think he has less than 10% and so a drop. So a nice redouble I reckon.”
Jaime Weinstein:
“Keep the cube. Like you said, the score dictates the action. You go into a Crawford game if you win this one and then you only have to win 1 out of the next 4 games to win the match (presuming no gammons).”
David Gallagher:
“Just need to consider the 'taker's' decision here..
Pass: 6a1a crawford for 11% MWC
Take (for the match): MWC = GWC = 16/36 x about 1/3 x about 1/2 = less than 10%
So RD/P”
